One Night Stand and No String Relationship

One night stand is an encounter for one night only in its essence. Its essence is expressed by a very eloquent name and sealed with tons of examples of one night short-term 'love'.

One night stand isn't burdened with any responsibilities or duties, tight connections or a must to be faithful, kind, caring and all oh so sensitive etc. It coldly and obviously states one thing only – he plus she (variations are possible in our post-modernistic world...) equals one single night encounter/equals pleasure/equals no drama or good-bye teary sessions.

There are also the so-called no-strings-attached relationships which is a slightly different notion. They suggest the connection between two people which is based on free love but their number of encounters is scarcely limited. No-string-partners can meet whenever their booty call rings them up and say good-bye whenever they want without any obligations or responsibilities – the latter part of description gets the notion closer to one night stand.

No strings attached relationships are equally vague and unstable and prompt no continuation according to the unwritten mutual agreement existing within such 'couple'. Sometimes the partners within a no-string relationship are called friends with benefits i.e. friends who are in case of emergency (unstoppable crazy horniness!) will always help each other up.
